Should City Law firms carry a health warning?

The ongoing debate around the issue of work related stress continues after the inquest in to the death of Matthew Courtney returned an accidental death verdict last week. Matthew was an interlectual property lawyer at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.

The issue of the sacrifices that come with the territory is something that law firms are taking seriously as survery after survey show tha law students have little idea of what they are letting themselves in for.

It ultimately comes down to the idea of a balance between work and life.
